Character Spotlight: Black Ronin

The Black Ronin, aka London’s Samurai, is the debut entry from Knightspire.

London is overrun by criminals – from powerful individuals to violent groups and even mythical overlords. Despite the work of the police, they have all evaded capture. Even worse, their influence only seems to grow by the day. The once popular tourist location teems with criminal activity, especially the drug gangs. The reign of fear and chaos continues with no end in sight.

The city is in desperate need of a hero. That hero is Black Ronin. One man who dons dark samurai-like armour and an incredibly sharp katana. His glowing red eyes pierce through the darkness and fog as he jumps between rooftops. He prowls the shadowy streets of London in search of the most heinous criminals – such as Pappa Hoodoo, The Westminster Ripper, and The Duchess.

His mission: to reclaim his home.

While he has no superhuman powers, he is skilled with his trusty katana and possesses experimental technology to give him an edge over his enemies. His true identity is unknown to the public or the government. His relationship with law enforcement is hostile due to their numerous public warnings about violent vigilantes. The public holds mixed opinions on him. Not only does he deal with the nefarious schemes of villainous characters, but also his own personal struggles. Becoming Black Ronin is the first step to finding his place in the world.

Black Ronin is only one man. No matter how hard he tried, he would never be able to bring down London’s vast criminal network alone. A deep-rooted, To achieve his goals, he requires help. He works with a small group of trustworthy individuals who deal with the technological side of his career.

Black Ronin serves as the introduction to The Knightverse, introducing many concepts and characters that will be explored in the future. His journey opens the door to many others – from vengeful assassins to guilt-ridden archers and much more. His story is at the heart of all others, detailing events that impact the entire universe.
