London has changed.
Effectively split in two, the city has undergone massive commercial developments due to immense business and real estate investment from Chinese companies. Large swathes of the city are unoccupied, dominated by rolling industrial estates. This ‘London’ is commonly referred to as The Wastelands by locals.
The criminal underworld rules all from the shadows, with rumours of mystical crime lords such as Papa Hoodoo and the Duchess at an all-time high. Organised gangs fight for control of Spice, the new drug that far surpasses all. Morality is thrown out of the window, allowing for killers such as the Westminster Ripper to indulge in their dark and twisted sport. Law enforcement is unable to keep on top of everything, understaffed and underfunded to deal with the watershed.
All can be traced back to a catalyst, a devastating terrorist attack that affected the lives of Londoners in unseen ways. The culmination of a diabolical scheme that would set many more in motion during the aftermath years. As the rest of the world gains its vigilantes, London is left to fend for itself. Tensions are high, leading to blame games and scapegoats.
